What does an entry-level position at Sky Inc entail?

Your day will be divided into two parts. The first part of the day will take place in the office, where you’ll receive training either one-on-one or in a small group. You’ll work directly with experienced coaches who will provide you with a solid business foundation, covering a variety of essential skills needed to run a company. The second part of your day will be face-to-face marketing. This means going out into the field and meeting directly with customers, building rapport, and presenting the services offered by our client. This is ideal for individuals who aren’t looking to go the cubicle route and prefer to be up and about talking to people.

Can I participate in the Management Training Program without doing sales?

No, sales is an essential foundation for any individual who hopes to have a successful career in business. It is necessary for all of our up and coming executives to understand the basics of the sales process.

Furthermore, one of the cornerstone values at Sky Inc is leading by example. Our leadership is what distinctly separates us from other companies. A manager would never ask an employee to do something that he has not already done himself. Rather than barking orders, our managers are able to coach staff based on their own personal experience. Hence, if a manager is going to oversee a sales team in the future, it is necessary for her to have had sales experience herself.

As a Management Trainee, what kind of hours can I expect?

A 50-55 hour week is considered typical for a Management Trainee. The morning usually kicks off at 10:15 am (which should give you plenty of time for a long breakfast!) and field hours are wrapped up by 8:00 pm. Management trainees return to the office 3 days a week after their afternoon meetings with customers.

P.S. Thursday nights are our team get-togethers, which of course are totally optional, but are lots of fun — so it might be a good idea to build this into your schedule! (Families and friends are always invited).

I've seen reviews talking about commission pay. How does this all work?

The Management Trainees at our firm are paid based on their performance. Simply put, the harder they work, the more money they make. If you take a deep dive into the practice of performance-based pay, you will see that the people who make the most money are paid based on their performance. Examples include professional athletes, doctors, entrepreneurs, and lawyers.

In full transparency, in the past, we have made exceptions for individuals who preferred a different pay structure. If you are unsure about which compensation package is best for you, this is something we can discuss during your interview. At the end of the day, we prefer to work with professionals who are motivated and want to advance in their careers. Typically, a person like this wants to be paid based on their results.

I have never done sales before; will I be trained?

Absolutely. You will spend the first part of every day practicing your small presentations with one of our coaches. You’ll spend the second part of the day actually shadowing an experienced account manager. You’ll get a chance to listen, watch and learn. You’ll also get some real-life practice! You won’t start meeting with customers yourself until you are confident and comfortable – and ready to do an awesome job.

A person receives pay during the training process.

What can I expect during the interview process?

The first step of our interviewing process at Sky Inc is a 10-15 minute interview.

For those who are invited to continue the interview process, the second interview will be longer and more in-depth. It is typically a 1-hour sit-down interview with one of our hiring managers.

Why Sky Inc?

If you’re thinking to yourself, “This doesn’t sound like a conventional job opportunity,” that’s exactly the point. Our management training program is much more than just a job; it’s a long-term career opportunity for those who are willing to put in the time and hard work. There’s no magic potion or ‘get rich quick’ route to true success. At Sky Inc, hard work pays off.

What separates Sky Inc from other marketing and sales firms? Our company’s culture. Our atmosphere has often been described as team-oriented, positive, rewarding, competitive, and entertaining. Once a week, our team at Sky Inc gets together outside of the office to participate in social activities such as bowling, sporting events, happy hours, etc. When you enjoy the people you work with, coming to the office in the morning is never a drag.
